Carpools form at 9:00 AM at Gateway back parking lot

• Tour the Rosie the Riveter Visitor Education Center and be transported back to the WWII Home Front via interactive displays.

• Enjoy lunch at the Assemble Kitchen, located in the restored Ford Assembly plant.

• Walk the exterior of the Ford Assembly plant, which, during WWII, was converted to producing military vehicles and tanks.

• Walk to the Rosie the Riveter Memorial (approx. 2 miles RT).

• (Optional) Tour the SS Red Oak Victory, the last surviving ship built at the Richmond Kaiser Shipyards. Located 15 minutes from the Park, admission is $15. Primarily a supply ship, the SS Red Oak Victory provides a fascinating glimpse into the history of American wartime industrial output. During the tour, you’ll learn how crucial the Victory ships were to the war effort.

Carpools form at 9 a.m., about an hour's drive to the destination. Lunch will be at the Assemble Kitchen, located across from the Visitor Education Center. Further instructions will be emailed to those who sign up.

Walking will be approximately 3 miles and all flat.
