  Celebrate the start of fall by joining host Mary Smith for a safari to the coast, September 28 - October 2.

  Enjoy wonderful hikes in the Mendocino region. We will be staying in Fort Bragg, with terrific seafood and fun after-hike activities to enjoy - like touring the Mendocino Coastal Botanical Gardens or kayaking in Noyo Harbor.

  Lodging arrangements, with breakfast included, have been made for up to 35 participants at the Surf Motel and Gardens. Queen rooms are $69 per night, King rooms are $79 per night and Double Queen rooms are $89 per night.

  Hiking for all levels at area Parks - including Jackson Demonstration Forest, Jug Handle State NP, Russian Gulch and the Noyo Headlands.

  Register to express interest in attending. Priority will be given to active hikers, especially hike leaders.

  Reconnect with the hardy souls who hike...and those who don't. Halloween costumes are welcome as are pumpkins or other table decorations you'd like to share.

  F-M Side/Salad & serving utensil

   N-Z Main Dish & serving utensil

  Attach a label to your dish, naming it and identifying major ingredients that might contain allergens.

   Pumpkin and Apple Pie will be provided by the Club.

  Take a few days to relax following the November elections and before the busy holiday season begins - join the Trails Club for a late fall hiking trip to Yosemite! 

  We will be staying at the Yosemite Valley Lodge, conveniently located in the heart of the valley. Room options include either one queen, two doubles or a king bed and are currently (as of 8/16) available for the market price of $279 per night, including tax. Bunk rooms with one queen and a bunk are also available, for $366 per night, including tax.

  Note that prices may increase closer to the safari date, so register with the Club to join the safari then book your hotel room soon if you plan to attend. The Lodge offers a 7 days prior to arrival cancellation policy. 
  

  Breakfast (not included in the room fee) is available at the Base Camp Eatery or the Starbucks Coffee Bar. Rooms include a mini-fridge but not microwaves. 

  As always, participants are responsible for making their own roommate and travel arrangements. The Amtrak 710 Gold Runner train/bus route can deliver you directly to the Lodge from Martinez. See amtrak.com for details.
  

  Hikes are planned at all levels, centered around the valley floor. Depending on the weather Tuolumne Meadows and Glacier Point may not be accessible during our stay.
