Hiking the High Desert: Joshua Tree National Park
This trip is for active Club members who are capable of meeting the physical demands of the trip.
Hiking will be up to 6.8 miles daily on varied terrain including sandy washes and rocky, established trails with loose footing; some single track. Rock scrambling and use of hands required to navigate terrain and ladders. Seasonal shallow stream crossings and possible snow.
Elevation gains of 500-1,000 feet at 4,500 to 8,500 feet. Road Scholar will modify hiking difficulty based on participants.
Participants will be required to carry a minimum of 2-3 liters of water daily.
Road Scholar Cancellation Policy is generous.
- $100 deposit can be transferred to another trip if requested prior to 67 days from the start of this trip.
- We encourage purchase of Road Scholar “Cancel for any Reason Insurance” which is also refundable.
