The Trails Club of Rossmoor, formed in 1968, is a group of residents who enjoy hiking the hills of the East Bay and beyond.  New and experienced hikers are encouraged to participate in one or more of the four weekly hikes scheduled on Wednesday and Saturdays. There are various degrees of difficulty and most people who would like to hike will likely find one of the groups suitable to their abilities. Please note we do not allow dogs or participants under 18 years old on Club hikes. Non-member guests are welcome IF you have the consent of the hike leader and fill out a Guest Permission Form.

When selecting a Group on the application below, please select the one Group you think you will primarily hike with. Members are welcome to hike with any group with the approval of the Hike Leader - you aren't limited to hiking with the group you selected on your application form. You can also update your primary Group after hiking for a while if you are more comfortable with a different pace, distance or elevation. 

• Amblers hike 3-5 miles at a moderate pace up to 500' elevation. 
• Ramblers hike 5-7 miles at a moderate pace up to 1500' elevation.
• Trekkers hike 6-8 miles at a moderate to faster pace up to 2000'.
• Scramblers hike 6-13 miles at a fast pace up to 2500'.
• Monday Morning Walkers stroll up to 4 miles around the Rossmoor Golf Course. Walks are led by Trails Club volunteers. 
• Social members are non-hikers who enjoy the many club events scheduled each year.

Complete hike details are available on the club calendar. Click on the hike you prefer to sign up for. Advance signups are beneficial to the leader for planning snacks, if provided, and carpooling.

The club also has a variety of social events and several three to five day excursions, called "safaris" throughout the year.
