The Trails Club of Rossmoor only exists because of all of the contributions of members like you.


There are countless ways to contribute to the Club in addition to leading hikes - although that is always our #1 need.

Open Board Positions for 2024 (Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer)

Registrar: 

  1. Review and approve new Membership applications based on current Rossmoor address and payment of annual dues (online or by check).
  2. Monitor online renewal process to ensure automatic email blasts are delivered before Dec 31 due date and during January "grace period".
  3. Respond to individual email requests for membership and renewal information.
  4. Maintain paper copies of Membership and Renewal forms on the Club Bulletin Board at Gateway.
  5. Collect checks from Club mailbox at Gateway at least once a week.
  6. Submit reports to the Board in January and March on renewal rates.
  7. Enable half-year membership option on July 1 and disable on November 1. Anyone registering in November or December should have their renewal dated to be due again in the subsequent year (e.g. Nov & Dec of the current year are free of charge).

August Potluck Host(s)

 1. Confirm August 22nd site reservation with GRF Recreation Dept.  Provide table arrangement and request cleaning.

 2. Meet with WebMaster and/or Event Coordinator to establish communication plans - Save the Date, Reminders & Rossmoor News articles.

 3. Solicit for volunteers to help setup food and cleanup afterwards.

 4. Arrange for ice cream (funds provided by Club).


Events Coordinator(s)

 1. Solicit host(s) for upcoming events.

 2. Meet with Event host(s) to share info about prior event arrangements, budgeting, GRF Recreation Dept., catering rules (if applicable), communications options (website, email blasts, Rossmoor News editorial requirements and schedule, etc), post-event report(s). Provide suggested timeline and To-dos.

 3. Setup agreed upon communications in Wild Apricot (Save the Date, etc). Enable signups if required.

 4. Meet with Event host(s) for post-mortem review and update timeline and To-dos for next future year event.
