Vice President’s Duties
- Attends all Board Meetings. In the absence of the President, prepares for and conducts Board Meeting and performs all other duties specified under the role of President.
- Works cooperatively with the President to learn how the Trails Club operates and to insure a smooth transition in club leadership.
- Assumes responsibilities for sub committees and other activities delegated by the President.
- Participates as a member of the Nominating Committee, which meets no later than July, to select nominees for the Board for the next calendar year.
- Chairs the Budget Committee and assists in budget preparation.

- Committee consists of VP, President, Past President, Treasurer and one non-Board member selected by the VP.
- Approves amount charged for catered events.
- Presents a budget for upcoming year at the November Board Meeting.
- Reserves rooms for the upcoming year in August or September (along with the President).
- Approves amounts charged for members and non-members for catered events.
- Has signatory authority for any Trails Club contracts (Safaris and catered events) and the checking account with the President.
- Collects Hike Sign-Up sheets from Trails Club Box periodically.

- Reports on all incidents during the year at the January Board Meeting.
- Stores incident reports in the Hillside Storage lockers.
